Hamas  is reportedly concealing the identity of its new leader to prevent their assassination, Saudi-owned news outlet  Asharq Al-Awsat  reported on Saturday.  Hamas sources told  Asharq Al-Awsat  that there are internal discussions on the matter, stating, "The movement's leadership is moving towards making an exceptional decision regarding the identity of the head of its new political bureau, and keeping the name secret most likely due to the security challenges facing the movement." 25 Illegal Imigrants Arrested in Florida for Child Trafficking

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said some of the 25 illegal immigrants arrested during a sting that nabbed 157 total people received benefits when they came into the U.S. (Photo Credit: Polk County Sheriff’s Office) Florida law enforcement agency arrested 25 illegal aliens who are involved in the seeming uncontrolled trafficking of children. Majority of these illegal aliens are reportedly obtaining federal benefits after entering the country. Along with representatives from other law enforcement agencies from Marion County, Lake County, Auburndale, Clermont, Davenport, Winter Haven, Lakeland, and Tampa, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd announced that 157 suspects were arrested as part of “Operation Autumn Sweep” for crimes committed that related to soliciting prostitutes, offering to commit prostitution, and aiding and abetting prostitutes. Gunmen killed a Mozambique opposition lawyer and a party official after firing multiple rounds at a car in which they were traveling on Saturday, ratcheting up tensions ahead of protests against a disputed election result, rights groups said. Mozambique's new opposition Podemos party and its presidential candidate Venancio Mondlane have rejected provisional results showing a likely win for Frelimo, the party that has ruled Mozambique for half a century. They have called for a nationwide strike on Monday. Naval drills hosted by Iran with the participation of Russia and Oman and observed by nine other countries began in the Indian Ocean on Saturday, Iran's state TV said. The exercises, dubbed "IMEX 2024," are aimed at boosting "collective security in the region, expand multilateral cooperation, and display the goodwill and capabilities to safeguard peace, friendship and maritime security," the English-language Press TV said. Participants would practice tactics to ensure international maritime trade security, protect maritime routes, enhance humanitarian measures and exchange information on rescue and relief operations, it said. The exercises coincide with heightened tensions in the region as Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza rages and Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels retaliate by launching attacks on ships in the Red Sea. 12 People Arrested over Shooting in Tel Aviv

The Israel Police arrested 12 suspects following a report of a fight involving gunfire, which took place on Saturday morning in Tel Aviv. The incident involved foreign nationals from Eritrea. In the police search that led to the arrest of the 12, knives and shotguns were seized at the scene, a police spokesperson said. A gunshot slightly wounded one person involved in the fight, and another person was lightly hurt from a cut - both of whom were evacuated to receive medical treatment.
