STRICTLY FOR COUPLES: “AND THEY WERE BOTH NAKED”
And they were both naked, the man
and his wife, and were not ashamed
(Gen 2:25-3:1).
This portion of the scripture has always been
mentioned in the church and various Christian meetings without indebt
explanation or analysis. Days ago, I saw on the Dove tv where the
resource persons in marriage discourse directly and shabbily interpreted this scripture
in a way that it graphically captured sexual intercourse.
I love the way the Living Bible presents it:
Although the man and his wife were both naked, neither of them was
embarrassed or ashamed.
The nakedness meant here is not the type men
use to deceive their counterparts. It does not mean sexuality or coitus. Sexual communication does not bring about
embarrassment, except where there is no understanding.
The scripture directly refers to those bricks and pebbles you left behind that painted your legs suspiciously. Your life of the past which your partner is not aware of is what the scripture meant here. Couples should confess their pasts to themselves so that the anger they may stair in the much later time of the union is experienced and be done away with. I can’t imagine my husband hearing my past life from people outside us two.

This is the passage that makes me a wife
still. He could forgive me and believe whatever I say because I foremost naked myself before him and he did also. Tell him that I did so and so; all he
will tell you is, “I am already aware of that,” or “No, my wife cannot do such”
Save your marriage today before you face
struggle trying to recover your partner from the wolves out there!
Note: We are continuing our study series on keeping
our men by next week (Sunday). The topic is: Learn to Play Naked Games with him
