Nigeria International, Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Leicester City defeated Cambridge United 3-0 in a pre-season game on Tuesday.

Iheanacho, who was not part of Nigeria’s AFCON 2019 bronze medal winning side, rose highest to head home in the 83rd minute to double Leicester’s lead, after Harry Maguire had given them the lead.
Leicester City’s Twitter handle lauded Iheanacho’s goal, for the technique and temerity of teh player to throw himself at the ball mid-air.
Iheanacho will be hoping to break into Brendan Rodgers’ first team when the season starts on August 9, putting behind him the disappointment of last season where he was restricted to few games.
He will also be working towards a return to the National team ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers; after missing the 2019 AFCON.
