Nigerian Striker Scores 6-Minute Hat-Trick To Inspire Arsenal XI To Win Vs Barnet

Folarin Balogun was the star of the evening as Nigeria youngsters of Premier League side Arsenal produced impressive performances on Wednesday in their pre-season friendly against National League side Barnet FC at The Hive Stadium.

The friendly ended 3-2 in favour of the Gunners with Balogun scoring a hat-trick within six minutes.

First Balogun put his  team ahead in the 12th minute from the penalty spot after Trae Coyle was fouled inside the Barnet box.

The Nigerian doubled his tally almost immediately when he ran unto a through ball and curled the ball to the far corner.

Balogun then completed his treble in the 18th minute when he received the ball with  his back to goal, beat his marker and unleashed a powerful shot from 20 yards. 

The Arsenal XI consisted mainly of U18 and U23 players; Miguel Azeez, Joseph Olowu, Tolaji Bola, Mazeed Ogungbo and Ryan Alebiosu were the other players of Nigerian descent in action for the Gunners.
