Colonialism Was Grave Mistake – Macron

macron 's assassination
French President, Emmanuel Macron has reaffirmed his stand on Saturday, December 20 that colonialism was a “grave mistake” and a “serious fault” made by the French Republic.
Recall that Emmanuel Macron had once expressed his mind on colonialism during his campaigns for presidency where he created a big storm by calling France’s colonisation of Algeria a “crime against humanity”.
The French President reiterated his stand on Colonialism during his visit to Ivory Coast, a former French colony in West Africa where he stated that he hopes “a new page” of the story could be written.
Macron said; “Too often, France is perceived as taking a supremacy stance and to dress itself in the rags of colonialism, which has been a grave mistake, a serious fault of the Republic.”
