Wilfred Ndidi pulls out of Super Eagles’ friendlies against Tunisia, Ivory Coast
Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, will be unavailable for Nigeria’s international friendly games against Tunisia and Ivory Coast next month, SportingLife reports.
Ndidi aggravated a groin problem during his Premier League club’s 4-2 win over Burnley on Sunday.
The Media Officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye, has confirmed that head coach, Gernot Rohr has already been informed.
“Ndidi is injured and will not make the trip to Austria for the friendly games against Ivory Coast and Tunisia.
“He has informed the coach and the federation about this latest development. We will miss him, no doubt about that, but then again, this is an opportunity for the other players to rise to the occasion,” Ibitoye said.
Nigeria take on Ivory Coast on October 9 and Tunisia four days later. thanks
