Ilhan Omar called Israel and America Terrorists

Image

(Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images) Progressive squad member Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has stirred up controversy yet again after recent remarks about Israel. Like clockwork, Ilhan Omar is going viral for her latest remarks that unleashed a slew of criticism to what many are calling “anti-Semitic.” In a Tuesday interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, the self-proclaimed progressive stood by her tweet from earlier this month, in which she compared the U.S. and number one ally Israel to that of terror groups Hamas and the Taliban. Unable to take any accountability for her remarks, Omar instead blamed her Jewish Democrat colleagues, accusing them of “not being partners in justice.” Many of her GOP colleagues have called her comments “divisive,” saying she is the reason there is stark division within the Democrat Party. Even the White House has distanced themselves with Press Secretary ...

(Brandon Bell/Getty Images) President Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) made a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border on Wednesday. The two visited Weslaco, Texas, where Trump held a roundtable with the governor and later visited a portion of unfinished border wall. During the roundtable, the president said the country is in a “sick state,” citing the state of the southern border under Joe Biden and the integrity of the 2020 elections. “But we have a sick country in many ways. It’s sick in elections and it’s sick on the border,” said Trump. “If you don’t have good elections and if you don’t have a strong border, you don’t have a country. Mark Morgan to Newsmax: Trump's Border Visit One of 'Actual Substance'

Image
(Newsmax/"Wake Up America")     Former President Donald Trump's visit to the Border Wednesday will be a trip of "actual substance," and not one that is "designed to address horrific political optics or give some photo opportunities," ex-acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan, who will join Trump on the tour, said Wednesday on  Newsmax .  However, Morgan told  Newsmax's "Wake Up America"  that he doesn't have high hopes that the Trump trip will result in any policy changes from the Biden administration, even though the border situation is not only affecting states in the southwest but nationwide. "What happens at the southwest border doesn't stay there," said Morgan. "It makes its way into every neighborhood in this entire country." Under President Joe Biden, though, the administration is showing its "complete lack of willingness to actually address the questions about securing the...

Apprehension of Biafra Leader Poses Challenges for Nigeria's Government - US Congressman

Image
Nigerian Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami  announced  yesterday that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the separatist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was  apprehended  abroad on June 27 and has been returned to Nigeria for trial. Kanu poses a challenge to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and, indeed, to the unity of Nigeria. Separatist sentiment in the South East—the heart of the former Biafra—has been growing, and Kanu appears to have some degree of popular support. If the government botches Kanu's trial and the atmospherics around it, it risks further inflaming separatism. Initial signs are not good. The government has not announced where abroad or how Kanu was apprehended, except to say that it was with the  assistance  of Interpol. Kanu is a  British citizen  and his headquarters has been in London. One source  says  that he was apprehended in the United Kingdom, but British authorities  deny  it. It seems ...

(AP Photo/Susan Walsh, File) The House passed a measure seeking to remove artwork of Confederate leaders or those that supported slavery from the Capitol Building. The vote Tuesday saw bipartisan support, but was split among Republicans with 67 voting in favor of the bill and 120 voting against it. The bill orders the removal of more than half a dozen Confederate statues on display, including Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Several Republicans slammed the legislation while asserting it was a power grab by Democrats over states already working to replace the statues. “I’ll vote for this bill today, just as ...

Trump Organization, CFO Expected to Be Charged Thursday: Wall Street Journal

Image
The Manhattan district attorney is expected to charge former President Donald Trump's company and its chief financial officer on Thursday with tax-related crimes,  The Wall Street Journal reported  Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. Lawyers for the Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Trump is not expected to be charged, according to people involved in the case. In a statement on Monday, he called prosecutors biased and said his company's actions were "in no way a crime." An indictment could imperil the Trump Organization by causing banks and business partners to stop doing business with it. The company would likely be fined and incur other penalties if found guilty. Charges also could increase pressure on Weisselberg to cooperate with prosecutors, which he has resisted. Weisselberg is ...

(SAUL LOEB/AFP via Getty Images) It is a vast understatement to say President Joe Biden "has provoked a national security disaster" at the southern border, former President Donald Trump wrote Wednesday in an opinion column. "Biden has enacted the most radical open borders agenda imaginable," Trump said in commentary published in  The Washington Times . "This is perhaps the first time in world history a nation has purposely and systematically dismantled its own defenses to invite millions of foreign migrants to enter its territory and break its law." Trump slammed Biden for "utterly depraved" polices that included restoring catch-and-release, tearing up asylum agreements with Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, and announcing "that anyone...

REUTERS/Stringer Gun in hand, 55-year-old Dost Mohammad Salangi recites poetry as he leads a small group of men to a look-out post high in the rugged hills of Parwan province, north of the Afghan capital Kabul. Heavily bearded and wearing a traditional circular pakol hat to keep off the sun, he has a warning for the Islamist militant Taliban movement, which has increased attacks on Afghan forces and claimed more territory as foreign troops withdraw. “If they impose war on us, oppress us and encroach on women and people’s property, even our seven-year-old children will be armed and will stand against them,” he told Reuters. Salangi is one of hundreds of former “mujahideen” fighters and civilians who have felt compelled to take up arms to help the army repel a growing Taliban insurgency. T...

(Photo by MANDEL NGAN / AFP) (Photo by MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images) President Trump once again weighed in on relations with his former Attorney General William Barr. In a statement released on Tuesday, President Trump stated he lost confidence in Barr long before the 2020 election. Trump also addressed a recent story in The Atlantic, which supposedly recounted a private conversation between Trump and Barr after the election. Barr recently spoke out against Trump on election fraud and claimed it did not exist. Trump called the story  “made-up beyond any level imaginable, in other words, fake news.” The 45th president argued Barr had failed the American people and surrendered to the radical left by not investigating the election. He accused Barr of being a “swamp creature” who was “scared to go against his friends in Washington D.C.” Tru...

Rep. Roy Proposes Cutting $5.7 Billion From Democrat Spending Plan To Fund Border Wall

Image

The Texas lawmaker introduced a budget amendment that would cut about $5.7 billion dollars in wasteful spending off the Democrat-proposed transportation bill. The Texas lawmaker stated this money would be transferred to the border wall fund overseen by the U.S. Treasury. House Democrats earmarked those funds for their partisan projects such as electric vehicle chargers in California. Roy insisted the funds would be better spent on ending the Biden border crisis. Rep. Roy released the following statement after offering a surface transportation bill amendment to strip earmarks and fund the border wall: More: https://t.co/vqUWstIfQW pic.twitter.com/fFbdYnWQfK — Rep.
