Pelosi, McCarthy Trade Jabs Over Mask Mandate
Political intolerance by the left appears to reach a boiling point as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) directly insults her Republican counterpart. The biggest voices in the House traded verbal jabs over the new mask mandate in the lower chamber.
On Wednesday, Pelosi and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) clashed over the capitol physician’s decision to reinstate a mask mandate on the House floor. Pelosi immediately went with a low blow in response. The top Democrat called McCarthy a “moron” for saying the CDC’s ever-changing guidance on face masks isn’t supported by science.

McCarthy said the reinstatement of masks in the House of Representatives is “about more control.” He argued the new guidance only applies to “hot spots” and that there is a high vaccination rate at the U.S. Capitol.
“This is no different than her (Pelosi) and telling people they couldn’t go out, but she’s getting her hair done,” noted the Republican lawmaker. “Just today I watched her in a private meeting not wearing a mask, so do as she say but not as she does.”
However, Pelosi only doubled down on her verbal assault against McCarthy and failed to apologize. When asked by a reporter if McCarthy was, in fact, a moron, she responded with “science, science, science and science.” McCarthy responded by saying people are tired of “this type” of leadership and that they “want something different.”
