Why British won't be Serious over Kanu



In 1984, Nigeria’s kidnapping of Umaru Dikko in UK seriously damaged relations between Nigeria & UK. All the kidnappers were tried & jailed by UK
Umaru Dikko was not a British citizen but a resident. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not a British dweller alone; he is a bonafide British citizen. That counts more.

Nigeria’s abduction of Umaru Dikko brought these consequences: 17 men were arrested, 4 convicted & jailed for 6 to 8 years.

Britain broke relations with Nigeria for 2 years. Nigeria’s later extradition request for Dikko was denied & Dikko remained free. It may be as a way of paying Britain back for denying the earlier extradition request that the DSS DG refused to allow nnaNna Kanu sign the extradition form.

In this condition, legality permits that UK should come for immediate tranfer of MNK. But I fear that Britain willing not work. See the content of the image below,
