Newest COVID Variant Is Blown Out Of Proportion
Former Texas congressman Ron Paul and current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had some strong thoughts regarding the latest COVID-19 variant frenzy. Paul, for instance, asserted the Omicron variant is yet another deception by Democrats and health bureaucrats.
“The fawning over this by the media really is pretty nauseating, how the propagandists promote all this stuff,” he stated.
In a new episode of his Liberty Report on Monday, Paul pointed out speculation of the Omicron variant is used by Democrat officials to justify new restrictions and government mandates. He said Africa has successfully fought COVID-19 and it had less infections than any other major regions.
The former congressman’s co-host, Daniel McAdams, then criticized Joe Biden’s travel ban on African nations. Paul also said Dr. Anthony Fauci and other officials are “stirring the pot” with claims of Omicron to validate their relevance in public debate.

Meanwhile, Governor DeSantis said the Sunshine State will not impose any lockdowns or restrictions amid the media frenzy over the Omicron variant. While speaking at a law enforcement conference in Orlando on Monday, the Republican said media-driven hysteria is infringing of people’s freedom when it comes to any variants of COVID-19.
The governor then stressed that he will not allow Biden and his officials to lock down his fellow Floridians or destroy their jobs and businesses.
“In Florida, we will not let them lock you down, we will not let them take your jobs, we will not let them harm your businesses, we will not let them close your schools,” stated the governor. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
DeSantis also cited South African doctors who identified the new variant as saying all its cases have been mild and none of the patients required hospitalization.
