Fulani Militants Burnt an Igbo Chief in Sokoto
The lamentation reaching our news room early today came froma former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani. Sani, the only Fulani with the brain of humans in his skull, has lamented the roasting of an Igbo chieftain in Kaduna by Fulani militants. He was kidnapped by the Fulani terrorists in Anguwan Gimbiya area of the state on Friday.
Sani disclosed that a chieftain of Ohanaeze in the state, Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1, was one of those abducted by bandits.
In a tweet, the former lawmaker lamented that the bandits operated freely for hours.
According to the socio-political activist, the incident was a tragedy.
He wrote: “Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1 an Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna state is one of the several persons kidnapped yesterday at Anguwan Gimbiya in the Outskirts of Kaduna city.
“The bandits operated freely for hours.This is the tragedy of our times.”
DAILY POST had reported that gunmen had attacked the Anguwan Gimbiya community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State
The gunmen were said to have killed at least two residents.
It was gathered that the incident which occured on Friday morning, also led to the abduction of about 50 persons in the community.
The assailants were said to have invaded the community early hours of Friday with sophisticated weapons and shooting sporadically, leading to the death of the two people.
