CNN “averaged only 444,000 viewers” from Feb. 7 – 13, marking its lowest ratings in since November 2015 Fox News, reports.
Even during CNN’s primetime broadcasts, the network averaged 491,000 viewers.
Fox News trounces CNN’s ratings by 385 percent, with Tucker Carlson garnering an average of 3.5 million viewers in Fox’s primetime slot.
The left-wing network has lost 90 percent of its viewers in the past year amid the network’s constant stream of deceptive news coverage and a cascade of high-profile scandals.
On Monday, the network began running a paid advertisement featuring content from China’s state-run media agency, Xihua. The Chinese Communist ad, titled “A Winter Sportng Event like No Other, highlights the Olympic events and Chinese efforts to make the environment “even greener.”
“As a grand gesture of sustainable intent, the iconic Olympic torch will burn hydrogen for its flame,” according to the ad.
Meanwhile, the network has entirely ignored human rights abuses by Olympic athletes who have been “dragged off to isolation”in Chinese quarantine facilities.
In December, the leftwing network suspended its primetime star Chris Cuomo after the anchor was found to be secretly aiding the defense of his embattled older brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, over sexual harassment allegations that resulted in his resignation. The decision to fire him came after CNN’s lawyers received a letter from an attorney representing a woman who claims Cuomo had sexually assaulted her after inviting her to his office for lunch in 2011 when they both worked at ABC News.
Earlier this month, CNN boss Jeff Zuckerresigned after admitting he failed to disclose a consensual relationship with Allison Gollust, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for CNN, as part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo.
Gollust resigned on Thursday after Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar issued a company-wide memo warning Gollust, Zucker and Cuomo violated company policies, including CNN’s New Standards and Practices.
