The Department of Justice prosecutors manipulatively walked back their decision to subpoena another child of January 6th defendant Guy Reffitt to the stand after using his teenage son against him this past Friday as a witness.
The DOJ had planned to also use Reffitt’s minor daughter as a prosecution witness before realizing their diabolical plan was going to backfire at the last minute.

We reported yesterday that the Biden Regime had coaxed a teenage boy (Jackson Reffitt) to record his father in the family home for eight days before turning him over to the FBI. The DOJ also intended to call his younger 17 year old sister Peyton to the stand today but got spooked and threw her off their elite roster. (That A-List included an abundance of Capitol Police Officers, FBI Special Agents and Reffitt’s fellow militia member turned snitch Rocky Hardie who traded his testimony for his own immunity.)
“I never felt threatened by my Father,” Peyton Reffitt (the teen daughter of the defendant) told us outside the courthouse in Washington DC. “It hurts me so much that they are saying that. My Dad has never touched us once in our lives. The only way he disciplined us was through yelling and sometimes even pretending he was mad. He was beaten by his Dad as a kid and is against that- he would never hurt us.”

Payton’s statement flies in the face of a large part of the trial narrative that shameless prosecutors, aka Regime puppets, Jeffrey Nestler and Risa Berkower presented of Reffitt by using his teenagers as pawns against him. They told jurors Reffitt was a man who physically threatened his children to not talk to the FBI and implied he threatened to “shoot them or shoot their phones” if they turned him in for January 6th events he had told them about.
See us confront the prosecutors mentioned above here outside of the courthouse:
Unfortunately, the 12 jurors never got to hear Reffitt’s daughter’s testimony as the prosecution pulled the plug on it and rested its case.
Interestingly, his public defender attorney William Welch Reffitt did not call a single defense witness to the stand or jump on the obvious opportunity to put Peyton on the stand to defend her Dad.

“I’m so upset that my right was taken away to give my testimony of the truth,” said Peyton. “They had me on the schedule for Monday but on Friday I spoke to the prosecution. I told them that I got to see more of my Dad’s vulnerably and his mind than Jackson did, and so I was more able to understand some of the things he was saying at the time. I don’t think they liked that. They realized that what I was going to say would help my dad and not hurt him like they wanted.”
“Payton was terrified and anxious for months about this,” her mother told us. “It was emotionally tolling on my daughter but she was prepared and was going to make the most of it.”
Those close to the situation say that the government caught wind of the fact that Peyton was planning on saying she never felt threatened by her Dad as they wanted.
“It seems they had manipulated or coached Peyton to some extent and expected her to say her father threatened her,” said Tina Ryan of Citizens Against Political Persecution. “They realized she was going to say her truth after speaking with her Friday and axed her off their witness list on Monday.”

According to her Uncle Nathan Reffitt:
“Payton was saying the prosecution was feeding her what she needed to say on the stand, instead of Payton in her own words describing the events. She said she was not going to say what the prosecution was telling her to say. I am very sure they coached Jackson as well. That’s what they decided not to put Payton on the stand- because she was not going to do what she they wanted her to do.”
