Voting halted at APC National Convention

Voting has been has been halted for nearly two hours at the ongoing special convention for the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC over allegations of malpractices.
Agents of one of the leading aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi had complained that some leaders or agents of aspirants were helping others to write the names of those they wanted to vote for.
This led Amaechi to personally went to the voting area to personally intervene by going to the voting area, an action which nearly led to total disruption of activities as his supporters and those of another leading aspirant exchanged words.
There were also disputes about the delegates list.
However, Atiku Bagudu, the chairman of the acknowledged that some states like Anambra have problems about their delegate’s list which is being sorted out.
23 Aspirants are contesting for the 2023 presidential ticket of the APC at the Convention.
However, the three leading aspirants are Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
