Several explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Monday, causing deaths and injuries, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Services told the local Suspilne public broadcaster.
"The details are being confirmed," the spokesperson said.

Bakhmut
The same day, it was reported that Russian troops are coming closer to the strategically important eastern town of Bakhmut, having advanced up to 2 km (1.24 miles) towards the town over the last week, a British intelligence update said.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskysaid that Ukrainian troops were involved in very tough fighting near the town.
