Eha-Amufu Killings: How the Army Assisted Fulani in the Killing of the Natives

My visit to Eha-Amufu on Sundays, 18th December, 2022 showed every indication that Nigeria will soon go the way of Afghanista. I mean, very very soon. You won't believed what I saw and the manner of information I gathered about the Nigerian government, her military and other forces in encouraging insecurity in the Eastern part of the soon-to-collapse country. Eha-Amufu is in Isi-Uzo local government area of Enugu state.

I worshed with the Township Methodist Church at Eha town. At about 11.17am, while the service was still on, I left for the mission that took me to the town. Heading towards Ngbuji community, I was unequivocally told to change course by the population I saw heading towards me. Some of them were victims of that Sunday's fulani Attack in Ebo.

According to Igwurube Alu who spoke to me on the nature of that Sunday morning Attack, the fulani terrorists came in their numbers. They were over 200. When they arrived, people were already in the church. Only those who were to go to church late that day were still at home to signal others of the unexpected attack.

Meanwhile, the community had built a barricade across their bridge to hold the attackers off. But that very morning, the handful number of Nigerian army sent to the community received a long call attack about an hour before the attack. The soldiers were sent to the community to combat the members of the ESN who were guarding the community against further fulani inversion.

At about 15 minutes before the attack, the soldiers went to the gate and purposefully opened the barricade. The soldiers flung the barricade open and left for Eha-Amufu town. Around the calculated time, the fulani killers launched their attack. From Igwurube's narration, it is very  clear that the Federal Governme wants to wipe out the entire Ebo community for fulani to replace them.

The claim these killers have, is that one unknown man sold the community to them. It has been their usual claim each time they target any people to wipe out in the support of the Federal Government. Meanwhile they never had any transaction with anybody. What they had always done is to send their herders ahead of time to master their terrene and know the names of the community members. Once a notable person dies, they lay hold to the deceased name and Claimed he sold the land to them.
