Mind Control: Igbo Metaphysical Process of Controlling the Mind - Onyeji Nnaji

What Igbo thought has not clearly defined is the marking out of the difference amidst the mind and the heart. Igbo refer to the mind as "Obi", while the heart is regarded as the seed of the chest, "Mkpuru Obi". In the same way, the two patitioned set of ribs housing the heart is also called, "Obi". This made it difficult, at times, for one to understand when the Igbo actually mean the mind, not the chest, in their speech. The Igbo metaphysics is concerned with the mind, not the heart as the expression may connote. Thoughts settle in the mind, not the heart; in the same way, affections are the affairs of the mind, not the heart.

The mind becomes overtaken and possibly controlled by love. The reason is simple, it is only love that affects the entire body and moves everyof the body component parts to respond to certain stimuli that is external to the body. Hatred cannot overtake the entire body that way. Hatred works with the brain and partly the nerves; it does not control the entire body. Their disparity is clear on the fact that love has effects on the host than it is easily transferred, while hatred has effects on the receptor than the host. That is why love is often interpreted as affection. 

Man becomes weak the very time his mind becomes desolved to absorb another's. At such point man becomes concerned less about himself than he would think about the object of his affection. It is so because, in feelings lies a man's strength, also his weakness.

With love man becomes weak and vulnerable; then, with feelings he is conquered with less struggle. It is at that point, feelings, that men reveal the highest secret of their lives and sometimes make certain irredeemable promises. This is the point, the very poing of affection, when the mind can be seen (understood) by another mind; while it is with feelings that the mind can be controled. 

This is the reason king Solomon advised that you guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the Issues of life. He does not refer to the very heart that pumps blood inside you, rather he refers to the mind, this is because, it is the mind that maintains link amidst the natural and the subterenal. It is the mind that gives clear definitions of when the body is in its conscious state and when it is not.

Transcendetal Empiricism of the Human Mind:

Austral science made it very clear that the human mind can actually transcend beyond the realm where the body has no complete control of itself. At this point, only the mind can understand what has happened. Yet there are two other aspects or realms where the mind loses complet control of itself and is being controlled by another mind outside the body. These two realms are collectively discussed as aspects of Mind Comtrol. The two realms are:

* Coalition of Minds and
* Beclouding of Minds

These processes are elucidated in the book shown above with their accompanied illustrouious diagram.

                  INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun .
