Video: Man Burns to Dead at the White House

A man known as Arnav Gupta tried to self-immolate near the White House on Friday, according to videos seen on X/Twitter. This comes amidst global pro-Palestinian demonstrations on the one-year anniversary of the October 7 massacre. 


According to police sources, confirmed that Arnav Gupta, 33, had taken the drug K2 which had been laced with PCP. Gupta, from Bethesda, Maryland, had been reported missing by his family yesterday, about the time he was seen setting himself on fire on a lawn at Ellipse Park near the White House.



His motive remains unclear but TMZ today reported that unnamed police sources said he was hallucinating on K2 — a form of synthetic cannabis known as Spice — along with PCP.

Gupta’s family reported him missing after he left home at 9.20am.




At 12.20pm emergency services found the human torch, who reportedly suffered 85 per cent burns to his body, in an area in Washington DC known as The Ellipse or President's Park.

                  INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included. As a plural term, “syndesmoi” is a collective noun that stands for the group while, conjunction , the part of speech that binds together the discourse and finds gaps in its interpretation was called “syndesmos” (see Robins, 1968).
