Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said that the Republic of Biafra will come in his time. Speaking on Radio Biafra during his recent broadcast, Kanu said that God has sent him to liberate Igbo people from the bondage of Nigeria. According to him, Igbos have been in bondage since 1960, but time has come for them to be liberated. The IPOB said the only hope of Igbos is Biafra restoration and he declared it’s ready to do all within his power to achieve it. According to him, he and IPOB have accomplish much, Biafra will soon become a Nation. He said, “we do not take the praise, every praise and adoration for all we have become, accomplish on the struggle of Biafra, belongs to Chukwu Okike in Heaven, No man or Government can stop Biafra restoration because it is God’s divine agenda.

Fire Guts Asaba Timber Market

Fire has consumed goods yet to be quantified at the popular timber market, behind Chiedu Okoh Plaza, at the Asaba axis of the busy Benin-Asaba-Onitsha highway. The fire was said to have occurred at about 7pm on Saturday, allegedly from a cold room behind the timber market, and spread rapidly into the market stocked with woods. A resident of the area, Chukwuma Opiah, said he came “back home around 7pm when I saw the fire.” Opiah alleged that an electric spark which started from the cold room was responsible for the market inferno. He said while operatives of the fire service responded on time; emergency responders and concerned neighbours had already extinguished the inferno after it raged for about an hour. A shop owner in the market, Steve Oliseh blamed the leadership of the market for allowing the cold room to be sited in the area. “We have had issues with the cold room several times; it had destroyed the transformer on several occasions,” he lamented. Teenager Kills ‘Paedophile Priest Who Abused Him’ By Ramming A Crucifix Down His Throat

A teenager has been arrested for brutally killing a suspected paedophile priest. 19-year-old Alexandre V., who is alleged to have been abused by the priest, rammed a crucifix down the throat of 91-year-old Catholic priest Roger Matassoli before suffocating him to death at his home in Agnetz, Oise, northern France. Police who were called to the scene found the lifeless body of the priest with signs of torture on his body and appearing to have suffered asphyxiation at his home on November 4. According to Mail Online, Alexandre V. was arrested as he tried to escape in the father’s car and has since been charged with torture, murder, and resisting arrest. Alexandre V is currently being held at the hospital due to psychiatric problems. Before the brutal killing, the clergyman had been accused of sexually abusing at least four boys, including Alexandre and his father, between 1960 and 2000. ‘I Will Declare A Biafra Republic On January 1’

The founder and leader of Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) Benjamin Onwuka has said that a Biafra republic will become a reality on January 1, 2020, under his leadership. Benjamin Onwuka, a Barrister, born and brought up in Enugu, went to University of Nigeria Nsukka. The pro-Biafra leader served under the leadership of Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), before breaking out to form his own group. Meanwhile, recall that Onwuka was arrested on August 20, 2018 by security operatives attached to the Enugu State Government House and was kept incommunicado for several months. But following several calls and protests against his arrest, he was subsequently transferred to Owerri Prisons from where he was released on July 1, 2019.

Illegal Detention: Malami should apologise to Sowore, Dasuki – Falana

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has again reacted to the federal government’s position on the  recent release of activist Omoyele Sowore and former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. In a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Falana said the Nigerian government had no right to indefinitely detain a citizen for the offences that Mr Sowore and Mr Dasuki were accused of. He said the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, should apologise to both men for the illegal detention. Mr Falana also said the Nigerian constitution does not allow the federal government to solely determine what constitutes national security. The arrests Mr Dasuki, a retired Nigerian Army colonel, was arrested shortly after vacating office, as NSA on December 1, 2015 following an allegation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Carnival Calabar: Passion 4, Freedom band clinch first position

For the first time in the history of Carnival Calabar there was a tie for the first position as two bands were declared winners Sunday night, Passion 4 and Freedom bands were declared winners of this year’s edition of Africa’s biggest street party.  Terrorism themed members of Passion 4 Band Vanguard learned that there was a tie for the first position while  Seagulls band came second, Bayside band third and Master Blasta band took the fourth position.  The winners were announced Sunday at the U.J Esuene, Calabar. Members of Freedom Band It would be recalled that passion 4 also won the 2018 edition of Carnival Calabar and Festivals leaving Seagull band as the first runner up and Freedom Band as the second runner up but there the subline interpretation of the theme of this year’s carnival:” Humanity” was best interpreted by both bands (Passion four & Freedom band).
